Mini Album: "Navidad 08"
Hello!
Today I finished a Christmas Mini Album for my daughter using "Life at the Pole" paper collection from Sassafras Lass. Last week, when I started the mini album,I was thinking on making only a few pages, but those papers are so cute that I couldn't stop using and cutting them until I finished the 16 pages of the mini album, I still can't believe it, lol! For the mini album I used 6 patterned papers (one of each style) and I still have a few scraps I'm planing to use in a 12"x12" layout.
Hoy terminé un Mini Album de Navidad para mi hija usando los papeles "Life at the Pole" de Sassafras Lass. La pasada semana, cuando comencé el mini álbum, sólo pensaba hacer algunas páginas, pero esos papeles están tan lindos que no podía parar de usarlos y cortarlos hasta que terminé las 16 páginas del mini álbum, no puedo creerlo aún, lol! Para el mini álbum usé 6 papeles con diseños (uno de cada estilo) y todavía tengo algunos retazos que estoy pensando usar en un página 12"x12".
As you can see, I love to use glitter on my Christmas projects and this one is no exception. Most of the embellishments were cut of the papers, then I used 3D Dots on their back side and border them with Stickles. Also, many of the alphabets were altered with glitter. I admit it, once I started using them, I didn't know how to stop, they are addictive. Now I just need the photos to finish it, but they are in process.
Como puedes ver, me fascina usar brillo en los proyectos de Navidad y este no es la excepción. La mayoría de los adornos fueron cortados de los papeles, luego usé cinta adhesiva 3D en la parte de atrás y los bordié con "Stickles". Además, muchos de los alfabetos fueron alterados con brillo. Lo admito, una vez comienzo a usarlos no sé cómo parar, son adictivos. Ahora sólo necesito las fotos para terminarlo, pero ya están en proceso.

Class to Go: Full of Photos Mini Album
Hi again!
A few weeks ago I offered a class and all the students were in love with their mini-albums so I decided to make the instructions for a few kits I still have available. It is so much fun to make the mini album from scratch, only with cardstock and papers. But the best part is you can add up to 30 photos of different sizes to preserve memories and is portable, it measure 5"x7"x1.5" when closed and looks like a purse. You can use it for any occasion or theme like Birthdays, Girls, Boys and others. The instructions are in Spanish and full of photos to help you make the project without problem (they are very detailed). Each kit includes all the papers, cardstocks and embellishemts to complete the project. Price is $25.00. As you can see, most of the people prefer mini-albums. I love them, but the truth is I love practical mini-albums, this means, mini-albums that have enough space for photos and not only for embellishments.

Life at the Pole by Sassafras

Hope you had a beautiful and happy Thanksgiving Day, mine was great and I took lots of photos, hopefully soon I can scrap some of them. I'm working on a Christmas mini-album, so hopefully soon I can share some images with you, I want to finish it this week but I'm working slowly because I had a jaw surgery a week ago and I'm still on recovery. I'm doing pretty well but I have to take good care of myself to recover faster so I can enjoy a good Christmas Dinner because I'm on a liquid diet since the surgery.

Espero que hayas pasado un hermoso y feliz día de Acción de Gracias, el mío estuvo muy bien y tomé muchas fotos así que espero pronto "scrappear" algunas. I love to do 12" x 12" layouts to preserve memories because they gives me more space to add photos and embellishments, but sometimes I make mini albums as gifts or just for fun, because they look so gorgeous that I can't resist them. For me, the best part of mini albums is you can add lots of photos of a same theme, celebration, person, or others, in one place in just a few hours.

It looks that more people love the double spread layouts. I love both of them, but lately I'm doing more double spread layouts to work with more photos because I want to finish the Disney's Vacation Album this year, I don't know if I can do it, but I'm going to try.

Class: Full of Photos Mini Album
Hi
If you are a mini-album lover, this class is for you! During this class the students are going to prepare a mini album from scratch with patterned papers and cardstocks. The colors of the mini album make it perfect for Boys, Girls, Birthdays, Family Reunions and other ocassions. To complete the project students needs to bring the following:
Si eres un amante de los mini-álbum esta clase es para ti! Durante esta clase los estudiantes prepararán un mini álbum desde cero, usando papeles y cartoncillos. Los colores que se utilizarán lo hacen perfecto para niñas, niños, cumpleaños, reuniones familiares y otras ocasiones. Lo mejor es que se pueden acomodar sobre 30 fotos y es portable (fácil de llevar a cualqueir lugar). Para completar el proyecto los estudiantes deben traer lo siguiente:

- Scoring Blade or Bone Folder
- Adhesive of your preference (for paper, flowers, ribbons)
- 3D Tape
- Scissor
- Hole Punche (Crop-a-Dile recommended)
- Optional: Brown or Blanck Ink for distressing paper borders
Si eres un amante de los mini-álbum esta clase es para ti! Durante esta clase los estudiantes prepararán un mini álbum desde cero, usando papeles y cartoncillos. Los colores que se utilizarán lo hacen perfecto para niñas, niños, cumpleaños, reuniones familiares y otras ocasiones. Lo mejor es que se pueden acomodar sobre 30 fotos y es portable (fácil de llevar a cualqueir lugar). Para completar el proyecto los estudiantes deben traer lo siguiente:
- Guillotina
- Navaja para Doblar Papeles o "Bone Folder"
- Adhesivo de su preferencia (para papeles, cintas, flores)
- Adhesivo 3D
- Tijera
- Perforadora (se recomienda la Crop-a-Dile)
- Opcional: Tinta Marrón o Negra para aplicar a los bordes del papel

They include 12 sheets of 12"x12" double sided patterned and textured papers (2 of each design), 2 Die-Cut Papers, Glitter Die-cuts, 5 Glitter Borders and one sheet of Alphabet Stickers.
