Tutorial: Puffy Velvet Marker and Coloring Pencils

Hi

This is a quick tutorial on how to use the Puffy Velvet Markers. Hopefully this will give you a better idea on how to use them and how they will look at the end.

You can paint anything you want, but I decided to used a stamped image.

1. Stamp the desired image. I use Black Stazon, but you can use your favorite ink.

2. Paint the leaf with a coloring pencil.

3. Apply the puffy velvet ink to the image. Remember the more ink you apply, the more puffy effect you will obtain.

4. Let the ink dry.

5. Use a heat gun to make the ink puff. Just pass the heat over the ink, moving it slowly from one side to other. Don't over heat it!

6. Let the puff get cold, don't touch it while it is hot or you will damege the effect.

7. Your image is ready!

You can see how cool this turns out. The texture is amazing, you can see it and you can feel it!

Card with Inque Boutique Papers

Hi

I made this card for Got Sketch 101 with Valerie and Janna class. I choose the birthday theme because we will be celebrating a friend birthday this Saturday and this looks like the perfect card for the occasion because everybody can sign it. The card has a pocket which in my case was made by sewing the paper in three sides. Is very easy to make and very versatile, I just love the result!

Patterned Paper: Inque Boutique; Paper Punch: SU, Fiskars, Punch Bunch; Button: Autumn Leaves; Flower: Prima; Stamp: Inque Boutique; Ink: Tsukineko; Ribbon: Unknown

Have a nice weekend!

Hidden Journaling Tutorial

Hi

Finally I have the time to post the promised tutorial. Is about hiding the journaling in your pages. I love to do this, specially in layouts with multiple photos like this one:

In this layout, the journaling is in the back side of the scalloped circle (the cupcake circle), and here is how I made it:

1. Cut 2 scalloped circles. I used the nestabilities and cut one in hot pink and one in blue.
2. Add a magnet to the center of the biggest circle.

3. Now attach both scalloped circles. The magnet must be hidden between both circles.

4. Cut an additional circle in which you can write your journaling and attach to the back side of the hot pink circle.

5. Place your circles in the layout, just where you want them and attach the other part of the magnet in the back side of the layout.

And now, your hidden journaling is ready. Remember the magnets must be glued. I used Basic Grey Magnetic Snaps because they are already cut and have glue, you just need to remove the glue cover (a piece of paper) and attach them. Very easy to work with.

This is one of my favorites hidden journaling methods because I can placed my layouts in the album's page protectors and leave the journaling outside the page protector because the magnet ensure it.

Now have fun making yours and have a nice day!!
